The McCloud Watershed Council believes the best form of economic development for rural communities is that which promotes a diverse set of locally-owned businesses that preserve McCloud's quality of life and that embodies values of sustainable use of resources, smart growth, and renewable energy.

We support the efforts of local organizations like the Jefferson Economic Development Institute and McCloud Local First who help and inspire local entrepreneurs to make their businesses a reality.
